About Me
My name is Theron, and I am from Bethesda, Maryland. My Father is American and my Mother Kurdish, but I have lived here my whole life. Growing up, I played soccer at a very high level. My plan from a young age was to play in college, so I dedicated hours upon hours training and playing. Every single day. I have always been told I am a natural leader, so my position as a goalkeeper made sense. Unfortunately, my goalkeeping dream and my commitment to a school were made no longer possible due to back-to-back concussions that occurred in the beginning of my junior year, which got worse and worse and eventually caused me to have to stop playing right at the beginning of my senior year.

With the loss of soccer also came the loss of regularly practicing leadership as a goalkeeper. As a natural leader, I wanted something else to fill that void, which is where Public Leadership comes in. In PL, I have learned more about leadership and how to develop my own leadership in the future. In my field, computer science, having developed interpersonal skills and leadership abilities is relatively uncommon. I hope to be the exception and build an image for myself as a versatile leader in computer science.
